Kay's journey in dogs

Kay's early jr. handling years

My beginining started as the little sister tagging along to 4-H. This is where I began working in obedience and jr. handling.  I qucikly realized my talent was with jr. handling part. With the help of my wonderful big sister I started down the path of AKC shows.  Finishing my first Champion at 11 years old had me hooked.  I started working for professional handlers at 12 yrs old on weekends and summers.  By the age of 13 I had earned the right to have my very own dog.  For my birthday I received the best gift in my first English Cocker, Ch. Pickwick's Captivator, a sweet blue roan boy.  "Tippy" was my juniors dog for the rest of my time as a junior handler as well as the first ECS champion in my life.

After college I was fortunate to get to know JoAnn Davis, Canterbury ECS.  JoAnn ultimatly trusted me with my foundation girl "Taffy".  I'm so grateful to JoAnn taking a chance on placing Taffy with me as I began back in the dog show game.  In the pages of my website you will see all that "Taffy" has contributed in my life and our breeding program.
